Dutch Farmers Revolt Against Government Restrictions On Agriculture.

July 09, 2022
...

The Netherlands is one of the largest exporters of meat in the world and is the largest in Europe. Farmer protests in the Netherlands have been intensifying recently as farmers say they will not accept government restrictions on nitrogen and ammonia emissions.

Sweeping environmental policies threaten to upend food productivity, along with the lives and livelihoods of the farmers. In the name of "climate change" the Dutch government has had no problem saying out loud that many farmers will not be able to remain in business for much longer. In a public statement about the new emission targets, the Dutch government stated that "The honest message … is that not all farmers can continue their business.""

The Netherlands intends to halve its nitrogen and ammonia emissions by 2030. To reach that goal, the Finance and Agriculture Ministry now wants to reduce the number of livestock by 30%. As a result, many farmers will be driven out of business. Just like with the current energy shortages, a reduction in food production will inevitably result in a reduction in food supply. Meat products will become less available and also more expensive if the Dutch government get their way.

The decision to decimate cattle farming in the name of environmental protection falls flat in the face of looming food shortages and potential famine worldwide. It appears they're intentionally trying to make meat so scarce and expensive that regular people can't afford it. They can then introduce synthetic meat alternatives and insect protein, both of which are part of The Great Reset's food plan.

But the farmers aren't taking these policies lying down. Tens of thousands of farmers have gathered together in their tractors and blocked highways, food distribution centres and borders with neighbouring countries. Farmers gathered outside government buildings and dumped manure at the doors (https://twitter.com/JamesMelville/status/1543837782677880832). While elsewhere in a confrontation with police the farmers sprayed liquid manure over the police line that had formed to block their route. The farmers have used their tractors to push back police armored riot vehicles and in some instances have even towed police cars away.

While blocking food distributiion centres from delivering food to super markets, the farmers have begun to set up their own farm stores all over the country selling direct from farmer to the public. When polled, the general public seem to be in support of the farmers. Thousands of people have lined roads and filled fields cheering on the farmers and waving signs and flags in support of their cause.

Support for the farmers is so wide spread in fact that fisherman in the Netherlands have joined forces with them and began using their boats to block ports. German farmers have begun driving their tractors to the Netherlands in order to join in with the protests. Despite the almost unilateral support for the farmers the Dutch government has not backed down on their policies and have in fact requested that the police be armed with live ammunition in order to tackle protests. So far, nobody has been injured though video footage of a police officer firing a live round at a teenage farmer driving his tractor away from police has been making rounds on the alternative news websites.

The timing of these government restrictions can not be ignored as it so closely coincides with other damaging policies implemented by other countries at the same time that also seem to be destroying certain sections of the food supply.
